In order to support the livelihood of the farmers it was necessary impart the knowledge on improved agricultural technologies to the farmers through trainings and on-farm demonstrations. KVK, Ramgarh was established to accomplish these needs and with the broad objective of intensification of transfer of technology to the practicing farmers, farm women, rural youths and extension functionaries. Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) established the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Ramgarh on 26th August 2014 under the administrative control of ICAR-Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna. This is the 24th KVK in the state of Jharkhand and 639th KVK in India sanctioned by ICAR. Government of Jharkhand allotted 19.4 acre land to the ICAR in Mandu block of Ramgarh district and the foundation stone of KVK was laid by Sri Radha Mohan Singh, Hon’ble Union Agriculture Minister, Govt. of India on 26th August 2014 along with Dr. S. Ayyappan, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR.

During the survey of fellow land area for selection of cluster of pulse crop production, we select the large patches around 05 hectare in Jobla village. This land was belongs to tribal farmers community, they kept this land as barren land. We approached this group of farmers through farmers meeting for coverage of pulse crop in fellow land area. The women farmers showed her interest and respond to KVK as desired for horse gram cultivation. The women farmers taken initiative of activity in group resources available for horse gram cultivation as instruct by KVK Ramgarh.
